DVDリージョンについて// About DVD regional code

DVDは全世界を6つのエリアに分けて、そのエリア内で製造されたＤＶＤ機器、ＤＶＤソフトには該当するエリアコードが書き込まれています。そのエリアコードが合致しない機器とソフトでは再生できません。すなわち日本のＤＶＤプレーヤーで韓国のＤＶＤソフトは再生できない設計になっています。また同じエリアコードでも、ヨーロッパのＤＶＤソフトを再生しようとしてもテレビの映像信号方式が異なるため再生できません。

The DVD sets an area number, dividing the world into six areas. A corresponding area code is written in the DVD equipment and the DVD software to manufactureand to sell. When the area code is different, it isn't possible to replay of the DVD software. That is, using the DVD player in Japan, it isn't possible to replay of the DVD software in Korea. Also, in case of the same area code, using the DVD player in Japan, the DVD software in Europecan not be replayed. It is because the image signal method of the TV is different.
